They shall
neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor
any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and
lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from
their eyes.” Revelation 7:16-17
No more hunger. No more
thirst. No more searing heat.
And, at the end, no more
tears.
No more tears. Can you
imagine?
By this time of life we have
all had plenty to shed years over. We have suffered broken hearts. People have
let us down. Family and friends have died and others have suffered illnesses. We
have cried buckets God has stored these tears in a bottle.
But the day is coming when
all that crying will be over. One day God is going to wipe away all those tears
once and for all. There will be no need for them because we will all be perfect
peace in the presence of God.
