Every people

 And they sang a new song, saying:

“You are worthy to take the scroll,

And to open its seals;

For You were slain,

And have redeemed us to God by Your blood

Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

And have made us kings and priests to our God;

And we shall reign on the earth.” - Revelation 5:9-10

 

Around the throne of God, with all the angelic beings and heavenly creatures and Old Testament saints and the apostles we see an amazing array of everyday folks – from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

 

I love that part. One day all language and culture and national and political boundaries will be gone. One day Christians will raise our voices in praise and worship of Him for all eternity. One day this is all going to make perfect sense.

 

Until that day we are never going to have world peace and harmony. Till then we will continue to fight and squabble and not get along.

 

But on that glorious day, what a day that will be, God’s people will be as one.
