That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in
love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the
acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; - Colossians
2.2
Paul
writes with a lot of love for the believers. You can sense it in words he
writes. He was concerned with them while he was away from them. He knew they
were going through tough times and so he prayed that they would be comforted
and that their they would be knit together in love.
In
these Covid days we are all looking for a little bit of comfort from all the
bad news and all the troubles. No matter how hard I try I can’t seem to shake
the ‘what ifs’ and ‘how’s.’
The
best source of comfort in this days are those with whom our hearts are knit together in love.
As
our hearts are knit together the love that we are always ready to offer each
other a word of comfort to get through the trials we face. We need to know that
there is someplace to find comfort.
We
have each other. Our hearts are knit together by the love the Christ. Let our
lives lead us to give each other comfort in these generally comfortless days.
