Be diligent

Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless – 2 Peter 3.14

Diligence is a key part of our call to service. We are to be steadfast and immovable. We are not to get weary. We are to not lose heart. We are to be driven by the love of Christ and not by perceived success or failure.

In peace

Without spot

Blameless

More reminders here about how to live while we are waiting. Paul wrote about this to the Romans and the Thessalonians and he wrote the same to Pastor Titus.  While we are looking we must give ever more diligence to the task before us by striving for peace, by living with such a testimony that there is nothing spotting our holiness, and my striving for the blameless kind of life that only comes by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We read a lot about diligence in the word of God, Here we are told that we are to be diligent about being people of peace and about striving live a spotless and blameless life.

This faith walk is not a take it or leave it thing. We must daily apply ourselves to the task of being more like Jesus so that the world can see Him in us.
