The earth was
without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the
Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. - Genesis
1:2
God created the earth, but
at the beginning it was formless and void and dark. The only sign of life was
God’s Spirit moving over the shapeless void.
The eternal Spirit of God.
He was there at the very beginning and He is still here today.
That ought to give us great
comfort since the Spirit of God lives in us today. Think about that for a
second. The Holy Spirit floating over Creation lives in me. I am His temple.
So is anything going to
catch Him off guard? Is anything too hard for Him?
And He is in me every day in
every situation no matter what. What a joyous truth!
