In the
beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God…
That’s quite a start to the
word of God. There is no argument for God’s existence. We are simply told that
when the beginning began God was already there.
These three words lay the
foundation for all the rest of the word of God. Without ‘in the beginning God’
there would be no use for the Bible. The Bible simply states it as a fact. It
is not open to conjecture.
God has put the truth of eternity
in the heart of mankind. We are all born knowing there is more to life that
just what we have here. That knowledge of eternity has always driven man to
want to know more about eternity. As a result most cultures have had a desire
to make sure they are okay for eternity and that has led to a search for the
one who would control it. Man has always done his best to find a way to God and
as a result all kinds of god have been created.
Man knows that God exists no
matter how hard he tries to fight that knowledge. God is there and that doesn’t
change even if man refuses to acknowledge Him.
God is outside of time. Before the beginning He was I AM/ Today He is still I AM. FOrever more He wil be I AM
