The city had
no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God
illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved
shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honour - Revelation
21:23-24
In heaven there will be no
need of sun or moon or stars. There will be no darkness. It will be the
opposite of the first creation where there was only darkness.
The glory of God will be the
illumination. The Lamb of God will shine in glory and all of the saved of all
time with bask in it. On the new earth all men and all kings will bring their
glory and their honour to Him.
There will be no dark
corners to fear. There will be no hidden unknowns. Everything will be out and
in the open. All the saved will walk in the Light of truth and knowledge and
God’s glory.
